Welcome to one of my favorite sections of this site, where I pay homage to my heroes of the guitar. For my own purposes, I've divided the focus between electric and acoustic guitarists. While many are known for their skill at both, I've attempted to place each artist within that category which best illuminates my awareness of their recorded talent. There are a select few who cannot be constrained to one realm.

This certainly isn't a list of everyone who's picked up the instrument over the last 40 years, nor is it a scholarly work by any stretch. It is, simply, an online "shrine" for those musicians who, whether through a massive body of work - or merely by one solo - caught my ear and in some way changed my own approach to playing and writing music.
